TEKhops is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Computer Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust computer systems and infrastructure solutions to meet our clients’ evolving technological needs. Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of internal software tools and utilities using technologies such as scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), version control systems (e.g., Git), automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) as needed.
  • Write, test, and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks and system administration processes.
  • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues.
  • Monitor computer systems, networks, and servers for performance and security.
  • Help implement backup and recovery procedures.
  • Apply security patches and updates to systems and software.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining internal tools and utilities to streamline operations.
  • Assist in software installation and configuration.
  • Perform basic hardware maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with network setup and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in implementing and testing software updates and patches.
  • Learn and apply coding best practices and development methodologies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to support software development and deployment processes.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions to gather requirements and provide technical insights.
  • Assist in evaluating and recommending new technologies, tools, and solutions.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of software and hardware upgrades.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or related degree and/or equivalent experience.
