Description

TekHops is seeking a IT Project Manager to oversee the execution and delivery of applications and infrastructure IT projects.

Responsibilities
  • The IT Project Manager is responsible for scoping, planning, resourcing and executing technology projects to ensure they are completed within scope, schedule and budget.
  • The project manager supports projects of various sizes, complexity, and duration.
  • Manages project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques.
  • Actively manages the work efforts of multiple functional resources through the project plan.
  • Works with various teams to ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
  • Define the scope of the projects in collaboration with senior project managers.
  • Develops documentation; monitors and reports project status; assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of documentation.
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of contingency plans.
  • Assist in the development of project budgets in compliance with the company's financial practices.
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project.
  • Identify and eliminate obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation.
  • Review the project schedule with senior project managers and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
  • Coordinate and facilitate routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, and so on).
  • Prepare meeting materials, outlines, presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and other project information.
  • Will be a key point of contact in the coordination of project planning and tracking activities.
  • Coordinate & schedule meetings, conference calls and events as needed.
  • Collaborate with various business and IT teams to complete project onboarding activities
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
  • Conduct project closure activities to include final reporting, lessons learned, knowledge transfer, and project documentation.
  • Document risks issues; maintain, track, and monitor risk issues.
  • Engages Engineering resources onto the project / builds the project team.
Qualifications
  • A strong understanding of the Project Management Life Cycle and an ability to demonstrate the use of multiple PM methodologies.
  • An ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization in a clear, concise, professional, and accurate manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities.
  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
  • The ability to articulate technical concepts effectively to non-technical customers.
  • Strong critical thinking and analysis skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Skilled within the Microsoft Office suite, proficiency with project management tools, and experience with proven project management methodology.
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of the team and ensure work is progressing as scoped.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a collaborative cross functional environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts and issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • General knowledge of Windows, client server environment, network concepts, cloud based technologies, and an ability/desire to learn emerging technologies.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to scope, budget and timeline.
  • Experience managing projects through the full life cycle.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science-related field required; A specialized master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred.
